Welcome to Afterlight, a human/vampire/werewolf role-play. It is loosely based on Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series, but if you haven't read the books that's okay. There are no canon characters here, and the setting is the town of Lamdon (a little like Forks ;3). We currently have a plot in motion; click here for more information.

Hey everyone, I hope you all had a good summer :3 I know things are still kind of hectic with school and whatever, but hopefully we can get some activity going soon. Welcome to all of our wonderful new members! Feel free to create all kinds of plots or whatever you want <3

Welcome to all the new members, and welcome back to certain people who have been on vacation :3 Summer is here, and we all have crazy new plots and characters simmering in our brains. I'm looking forward to a summer of wonderfulness, though of course everyone will have lives on the side as well :3 Have fun.

Okay, so we had a little bout of inactivity (gasp), but now everyone is returning and role-play has commenced again. :3 We have a lovely new member, Helena, who has been making many wonderful charries -applause-

The monthly awards voting has been created, and will proceed throughout December, with the winners being posted in January :3 Please vote in the poll. We also have a new board, the Virtual Room, where you can post in parallel worlds, and even role-play yourself. ^^ There is an Epic Gathering going on, to get us started.

I've almost finished the To-Do list for the site. :3 There is now an Activity Check, so make sure you visit that thread, members. Plus, we have a Halloween Dance coming up at Lamdon High, so make sure all your student characters (and maybe a few guests) attend. There is a poster thread in the Lamdon High forum, thanks to Razor. Also thanks to Razor, we have some lufferly little icons for the sidebar, if you'd care to scroll down and look.

I am officially going to update the site. -nodnod- Immediately after typing this (lest I forget), I am going make myself a to-do list, which I shall follow. And it shall be nice and pretty, and we shall have lots of activity again. :3

I was a very good little admin today. I updated the footer to accomodate all the lovely advertising I did (-purrs-), and I changed our advertisment to include the new plot. Only, I did that after I got us a bunch of affiliates .___o Anyway...
Activity has been a bit low lately. I know very well that it's summer and you all might, just might have lives outside of RP (-GASP!-). Just come back when you're done :3

Appearance; Rauros has rich, tanned skin with deep, chocolate brown eyes to match. The appear cold, but do sparkle. Wavy locks the same earthen shade as his spheres fall down to an inch or so above his shoulders. His build is muscular, and it lies on top of an average frame, six feet three inches in height. Generally speaking Rauros has a goatee in addition to a thin mustache for facial hair, but he's been known to change styles often. As far as garments go, a pair of jeans with some black boots and a t-shirt turned inside out with its' sleeves cut off is what the brujo is seen wearing. When he goes into town or has company over the tank top is replaced with an unbuttoned dress shirt. A silver ring with a turquoise wolf set in it can be found on a chain around Rauros' nape at all times.
As a wolf, Rauros is huge. His coat is gray with splotches of white on his rump and hind legs. He also has a paler streak going from his muzzle, down onto his chest, and ending after his underbelly. Eyes remain the same color, maybe with just a touch more red to them.
Personality; Rauros has been in and out of trouble all of his life, most of it due to women. He's attractive, knows it, and abuses it. After all, why not? His care-free, fuck-the-world philosophy makes him easy to get along with and fun to be around. However, when it comes to pack matters, Rauros' rebellious attitude disappears. He takes things such as family, territory and vampires very seriously. This bold contrast, in theory, makes him a perfect leader that's both enjoyable to be around and gets things done, but sometimes the rebel in him crosses over and affects the serious issues part of his brain, and that never turns out well. Also, Rauros has been said to be a little heartless and insensitive to other's feelings. This is because his heart was stolen. He also by nature doesn't really get along with other men. They find his strong presence threatening and do things to tick him off, and usually it ends in combat.
History; Aurek, Rauos' father, used to be in charge of the reservation, along with his great-uncle Tu. Nancy, Aurek's wife, also lived there. Tu and Nancy never really got along. She was an outsider, a threat. As a child Rauos often remembering them fighting and yelling. He watched his mother cry her eyes out, and his father torn between aiding her and respecting his heritage. Rauros too, was torn, and didn't know what to do with all these negative emotions. He started acting out in school. He smoked his first cigarette when he was twelve. He couldn't decide between loving his mother or father, as both were family and you were required to love family. This ate away at him, at his childhood, and caused Rauros to harden.
When he was seventeen and coming home from a night out with his buds, there were police cars and ambulances all about his house. He rushed in, heart racing, to find his mother had been killed by a mad dog. Tu had shot it, but not in time. Rauros' father, heart-broken, had left with his younger son, Ianos, to be away from all the memories. He had gone without Rauros, without even saying goodbye. Rauros respected family so much that he couldn't even begin to comprehend this outrageous abandonment. He took off, running through the forest blindly to try and get rid of some of the rage, but it kept building inside him like this enormous, ravenous fire. That was the night he became a werewolf.
The only one who was there for him was great uncle Tu, who offered to raise the boy until Aurek returned. The authorities were satisfied with this and left. Rauros waited six months for his father, then decided he couldn't wait anymore. His heart had hardened completely, though he acts toward many as if he still had one it's all a lie. Rauros decided to man up and run the reserve, and with that also take charge of the Dyami pack, who hadn't had a decent alpha for a generation. He rejects Aurek and Nancy and refuses to even think of them anymore. It brings up too many complicated, unwanted feelings.
