I've been noticing that we've had a hell of a lot of guests lately, and either this is some sort of fluke with the system, or a lot of people are visitng our site. However, obviously hardly any of them are joining, so I decided to ponder what might make them decide to come to the dark side.
And all that I could think of was a site plot, seeing as people seem to like those (at least all the sites with lotsa members have them).
Sooo, any ideas? I know we're getting close, and people are creating some fun stuff (eg. the Covens/Packs are awesome, and hopefully we can get some rumours going around), but any ideas of something a little more definite? (for lack of a better word). I mean, something with a bit of a timeline, like 'such and such might happen, which will lead to this and that ... oh, and maybe we'll throw that in there too, cause it makes sense and will be spiffy to RP'?
I know we can come up with something good. :3 And even if we don't get more members right away (they'll just have to come eventually) it'll be fun for us.
And I'm done talking typing. So, if we can get some ideas going (I don't care how random they are), we can decide which ones to use first or just combine them all or whatever.
-shuts up- :3

I love chaos. Let's do something with chaos.
Oooh, what if there was this weird virus going around that started making either the vampires or the werewolves go crazy? It'd be like rabies, but worse, and your eyes go all red and glowy. It would make you evil, and then in a week or so your brain would swell up and explode inside your skull. And whichever race wasn't infected would either be like "Pssht, this isn't our problem. Let them die." but some would say "Yeah, but it's in our interest to help them to remain all secret-like so the humans don't flip out." and they'd have to pick sides. But once someone got infected they'd be uber strong and really hard to kill. And everyone would ask "Should we tell the humans? Should we ask for some of their science power or guns?" And there would be explosions everywhere and guts would rain on the city for days and all the vultures would get super fat feasting on the ridiculous amount of carnage. OMG THE END.

-LE GASPETH- I honestly <3 you. That is awesome! -sides with the vultures- Methinks the werewolves should get infected, because even though they're obviously supernatural, they're still mortal and all, so it would make them more vulnerable. Unless it was a disease so bad that mortals couldn't get it, in which case the vampires would be kinda stuck ... Oooh, that would be a way for them to die, other than being cut up and burnt or whatever it is - if they can't handle the disease (Eg, were nice and pure and good or whatever and then suddenly became super-evil and the change was too much) then they die? I don't know. But its extremely chaotic and I likes it. :3

Whoo-hoo! It's reassuring to know I'm not the only crazy one =P I imagine we're scaring off more guests than we're attracting with our plotting.
And yeah, that makes much more sense for the werewolves to be the unlucky ones. Also, there are a lot more of them to kill off. I kid! Don't worry guys, I'm not out to destroy all your lovely charries. Only most of them.
Um, as far as the dying after getting infected part, I dunno. Maybe what the virus would do was irritate the certain parts of the brain that control aggression, or perhaps eat away at areas that allow a logical thought-process and whatnot. Whatever the little buggers did would cause the brain to become inflamed, which really wouldn't be that big of a deal were it any other organ, but because it's encased in bone [zee skull] there's no room for the necessary expansion. The already-sensitive-and-now-even-more-so brain will try its hardest to break free, but its weak tissue is obviously no match for bone. With all that energy but nowhere to exert it, the brain will have no choice but to explode, all the different lobes dissembling. They'll be hard from the excess of blood, but as it leaves through orifices such as the nose, eyes, mouth, and ears, the segments will become even softer than before and will lie quite limp in pieces within this werewolf's head. By the way, this will be an extremely painful process, and this discomfort will no doubt add to the host's rage. So it'd be more of a chemical thing than shock from having switched sides so suddenly, in a drastic matter. And then the vultures would come and devour said limp brains.
Hey how is this thing being passed along? Bloodbourne? Airbourne?

oooh. :3 Very nice (except for the werewolves). And I think blood would be nice, but then it would be difficult to get the humans infected ... unless the blood spatters from the exploding brain landed on a sidewalk and a human stepped on it or something x3

Depending on how strong of a virus it was, there's a possibility that it could go into a dormant spore form, and survive within a dead host's body for, I don't know, say 24 hours. If a living, healthy, potential host came in contact with this dormant spore, it would sense the fresh food and wake up, becoming active within a few hours of contact. So if somebody got eaten part way or someone came across a dead body and the timing was just right, it could get passed through blood like that.
Oh, and I remember now the third way diseases are transmitted that I couldn't think of last night: through bodily fluids that aren't necessarily blood, such as saliva or fecal matter [aka POOP, hehehe], so that's an option too.

Hahaha, that'd be awful! 'Kami, that's icky. Imagine what it would be like making out with somebody, somebody with a timebomb in their skull that went off while you had your tongue in their mouth and you felt it. Eeeeew... >_<
And oh yeah, I guess it sort of is like I Am Legend. Not what I was thinking of when I came up with it though. I was actually basing a lot of my reasoning on a combination of the diseases in the books The Cobra Effect and Mutant 59: The Plastic Eaters [Plastic Eaters was a really good read, for anyone who's interested]

Ummm, my character Judas is just coming into town. He can be the first carrier unless someone else would like to make one real quick. See, his heart is evil and bent on revenge, so he isn't showing any of the effects because those glands in his brain aren't becoming irritated. They are still housing the virus though, which makes him dangerous and contagious. I was thinking that after his chat with Victoria, he would move along and pass by the Moonlight Eclipse Pack, who would point him on his way to the Reserve, and have ******* get killed there. There would definitely be contact during the battle which would pass the sucker along.
But this isn't set in stone or anything. What do you guys think?
And by the way, what's this thing named? Or are the characters going to come up with a name for it after folks start getting infected?
And Ookami- You creepy. o___O; Hahaha

aww poor Kami (we got mid-term reports by the way). And I think that works out well Razor. :3 Since I have absolutely no idea what to call it, maybe we ought to let the characters figure it out themselves -shifty-.
