How did you find us?
Your momma.
THE BEAST;
Calling;
Leroy of Spades
Age;
One hundred and three years
Gender;
Male
Species;
Vampire
Appearance;
He stands at a meager five feet six inches, but makes up for that fact with a harder face. His hair is a shock of black, wild fur that stands on end in sharp contrast with the white of his flesh. His eyes are also black. Frame is average, as is his build, though that is on the more slender side of the spectrum. Though he realizes he's older, Leroy is fond of the trendy clothes of this age. Having no past life to influence his choice of garments, this is quite understandable. Leroy appears to be in his twenties, though a more haggard twenty-year-old. The only item the he-devil brought with him from the other wide was a raven-black cowboy hat. Also, Leroy has a tattoo of the playing-card symbol of spades on the back of his neck. He never knew it was there until Victoria pointed it out to him one day. He doesn't know where or how he got it.
Personality;
Gentle and somewhat spacey. Leroy has an easy-going nature. He doesn't feel threatened by much, and it is this absence of fear which allows him to be laid-back. Were something to frighten him however, one would find Leroy quite nasty, and would go to ridiculous measures to remove said fear. This isn't the kind of personality one would think someone who had such goals as discovering his past and keeping the peace between all species would have, but one can't do much about the way they were born, and that doesn't mean he doesn't intend to fulfill these dreams any less than a more up-tight man. Leroy is just as driven as he, he just goes about it in a different way.
History;
Everything is rather hazy. Leroy will have memories suddenly triggered by certain events, which is helping to form a picture of what his life may have been like, but he's been at it for a hundred years and still doesn't have the complete image. Since it hasn't happened by now, it probably won't. He believes himself to have been maybe a school teacher, because that's the easiest excuse as to why he has so many dreams about children. It's less hard than believing that he had had many children of his own, little copies of himself and a wife that would be carrying his blood that he just abandoned. Another thing that explains why he couldn't have kids is that the few sexual encounter he can recall have all been with another man. No way he could have had a wife.
His fondness of cowboys hats might have been because he was from a southern state or worked on a ranch, but he knows fluent French without knowing why. It seems unlikely that someone in Texas or Arizona would speak French instead of the more convenient Spanish, given the fact that there's a giant Spanish-speaking country directly below them. Another element that complicates things is Leroy's ability to cheat in cards. He picks up a deck, gets into a game, and without even realizing it is slipping cards out of places he didn't know they had been hidden. Since playing poker was something that ranchers often did after the cattle had been brought in and their cards had been punched, maybe he did inhabit the south. It's not safe to go back and investigate, what with all the sunshine it gets, but someday Leroy would like to return and see if anything is triggered.
As Leroy wandered, a confused ghost searching for his killer, for a reason why he had remained on earth, for anything, he happened to come across Victoria. The two didn't kick it off too well, but why wouldn't sparks fly when two vampires came together? After much combat each had yet to defeat their opponent. They decided that rather than be enemies, it would make for sense for them to be friends. Victoria seemed to have a thing against males, but because Leroy was homosexual, he was not a threat to her or other women. If she used the full force of her charm, the vampire probably would be drawn to her, but only because Vistoria's gift is strong. There is no natural sexual attraction.
