How did you find us?
POOP
THE BEAST;
Calling;
Bern Sigismund
Age;
Thirty-five, though he was turned when he was Nineteen, so that's the age he looks
Gender;
Male
Species;
Vampire
Appearance;
Nothing much to look at, to be honest. He's thin, but not lithe, and has absolutely no muscles to speak of. Height is five feet, eight inches. Flesh is the traditional ivory hue of an undead beast. Bern's hair is thick, dark, and quite curly when he lets it grow out, but the male prefers keeping it shorter because he doesn't like the attention such messy locks draw. Bern has a rounder face, and a Jewish nose in the center of it, though it's hardly his face's center of attention; that would be his eyes. The vampire's orbs are a brilliant blue-violet, and surrounded by such lush, dark lashes that every girl in town is filled to the brim with jealousy. However, they make him feel self-conscious, so Bern usually keeps his gaze to the ground.
Personality;
An eager beaver. Bern considers his transformation from mortal to immortal a huge blessing, and uses it to serve others the best he can. This is probably because he's quite religious [Bern grew up in an Orthodox Jewish household]. He has immense patience, considering himself to be far-sighted; that is he can see that the future is going to be brighter than the dull mundane surrounding him presently.
History;
Bern Sigismund was born to Benjamin and Rosanna Sigismund. He had no siblings; just him and his mom and dad. The years he spent with them were the happiest of his life. Sadly, they were in a car accident when he was eight, so he had to go live with his Aunt Shannon. Still, life wasn't so bad. Rosanna and Benjamin had taught their son to smile, and be content, for everything that happened was all part of God's plan. Nothing occurred that he didn't know about, and it was all for a greater good. So Bern smiled. He didn't jump headfirst into depression like some kids might have. When he prayed in the tabernacle or at the foot of his bed, he would whisper little things about his day to his deceased mother and father, keeping them a part of his life. The little Jew would show them pictures he had drawn, or talk to them like there were there, on the few outings to the zoo and such that his father's sister would take him on.
Rather than think this cute or a healthy way of coping [it probably wasn't, but that's beside the point] Shannon was deeply concerned. She didn't have the money to send her nephew to a shrink, so instead she beat him every time he tried to contact his dead parents. She was convinced Bern was attempted to use witchcraft to speak to the dead, and she refused to house such a sinful child under her house, poisoning her family. So she kicked him out, and Bern went to live with his Uncle Norris, who was a drunk and even worse than his aunt. He used the violet-eyed boy as a slave. Bern, knowing that servants were a necessary part of society and thankful to his relative for taking him in, complied. Norris wasn't grateful in the least, and beat the boy harder than Shannon had. He forced him to work at a hardware store in a bad part of town in order to bring in enough income to cover his stay. Not owning an automobile or even a bicycle, he had to walk the distance during the night, alone. It was awful, but Bern kept smiling. This was all part of God's plan.
One night when he was walking home, he was assaulted. Bern tried to give the man his wallet so that he could have the money and not need resort to violence, but money didn't seem to be what he wanted. Bern received several injuries, most of them bites. The attacker then picked the male up, scurried up a building with him, then dropped him from the top.
Bern was incredibly lucky that it was Yao Sun who discovered him after he had lost his humanity. Another, crueler man might have taken advantage of him and his naïve nature, or simply not understood he was a vampire and screw things up somehow, but not Dr. Sun. He took the injured boy in, and helped him recover. He set Bern's broken spine straight, and fed him pouches of donated blood through an IV. It wasn't long before the vampuric heightened healing abilities healed the Jew completely, but he was still confused. Bern had a lot of questions, like what it meant to be a vampire and what he was supposed to do with his life now.
"Why, now you can do anything you'd like!" was the Chinese doctor's reply.
"You have an eternity. The sky is the limit for your kind."
Overjoyed, the violet-pooled male realized that he could continue his work now, without having to spend any of it on anything to eat or a heating bill. But it wasn't that simple. He couldn't just go back and tell his uncle he was moving out and not give a new address. Maybe this had happened to him to give him a clean page, a fresh start. It would be wrong to try and go back now. The only place he could move was forward. Dr. Sun had some advice on where to go.
"Craven and Heidi Allendoe are two of the kindest vampires I know, and some of the more willing to accept those from outside of their family, like you. They live in a little town west of here, Lamdon. Why don't you start your search there?"
So Bern set off, thanking the man he owed so much to.
"Don't mention it," said Dr. Sun, smiling as they parted. "As a matter of fact, call me up again the next time you've got problems. It's what I live for."
It wasn't easy, but soon enough the curly-headed male did come across the two Dr. Sun had spoken of. He wasn't sure if they were the kindest vampires [Craven was reluctant to let him join, and was kind of bossy] but it was sure nicer than his old family. Bern is content with where he's at now, though he is hoping to someday do something greater than grow herbs and vegetables in the backyard and smile at people on the street. Right now he's listening and watching, waiting for the moment the world needs saving and he's the only one not too busy running around like a chicken with its head cut off to answer that cry for help.

Alliance;

Specialty;
Locking eyes with someone gives Bern the power to place them in a trance, which lasts even after eye contact has been broken. As long as he's focusing, they will remain hypnotized. Also, he can direct thoughts and actions of particularly weak-minded individuals to do his will. Luckily, Bern's high morals does not allow him to abuse this ability, so it's almost like he isn't even gifted.
