For some reason, the warm scent of a vanilla latte always calmed Megan Bluebird down. With an icy blue gaze, Rain glanced around. No one's features registered in her mind, and with an exasperated sigh, she turned to her unfinished latte. She was dressed in a casual, yet classic, attire. Her outfit consisted of faded blue jeans, a white black tank-top that stood in perfect contrast to her pale complexion, and a deep green utility jacket. Her heeled boots clacked against the floor as she settled in a chair by the window.
Rain attempted to look normal; a scratch here and there, a switch of the foot, a flip of the hair. But it was so hard when the entirety of her expanse mind was preoccupied when meditation. She took in a deep breath, once familiar then foreign and familiar once again. The scent of vanilla mixed with coffee enveloped her and a rush of relaxation flooded through her senses. Ahh, she thought idly. It's good to be me.
The beautiful maiden flipped her long, raven-black hair, attempting to make it seem absent-minded. She stared out the window, the warm coffee cup settled in her hands. It was raining outside, like any other day in Lamdon. The sun was blocked by the large amount of clouds and the day was wet and gray. Rain's favorite kind of days. A smile touched her lips, and her reflection caught her eye. She glanced at it, taking in her pale olive complexion, her icy blue eyes that, on closer expection, the pupil was rimmed with brilliant gold, and her plump lips that glowed a pale pink. She looked at herself and though many would say otherwise, one word came to mind. Imperfect.
I'm bottling up your soft, dream-like scent In my head for the ride home I've been searching with bruised limbs For ways to get me going For ways to get me going
To give me confidence to stare And observe the world To give me confidence to stare If I could sleep forever Would you still be in my dreams? Under the covers Under the covers

Asher was running from across the street, heading to the only cafe in Lamdon. When he got into the cafe, his hands were in his dark colored jeans, with his head tilted down, walked to a table near a window.
He began looking around to see what humans actually did with their lives now, when he turned, and saw this girl. She didn't look like any human nor vampire he has ever seen before. She was more beautiful then anything he has ever seen before. When Asher came back from his daydream, he noticed that she was looking at him. She wasn't that far away either. As they stared at each other for a few moments, Asher noticed that she had blue eyes like his, though not as dark, and she had long dark hair. He didn't dare look further down than that, he didn't want to seem like the rest of the male species, human and vampire, because he wasn't. He knew that girls weren't just a piece of meat that he could have when ever he wanted. (OOC;; If that makes sense. :-P)

The clinging bells above the entrence distracted Rain. She glanced over in curiousity and noticed a boy. He looked to be about her age. He shoved his hands nervously into his pockets. She smirked at this. But, even more noticable than his classic good looks and imperfect charm, was the strong, sweet scent of a newborn vampire. She was amazed by him as he walked over to the table across from her and sat down. She wondered how he controlled his hunger in the midst of all these humans.
Suddenly, he looked up and their eyes met. His eyes were a deep blue, like the deepest ends of the ocean. They remained frozen there, staring until he shifted his gaze. There was something sad, but alluring in his eyes and it intrigued Rain. When her senses returned to her, she noticed the song playing overhead. Ironic it would be 'Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop' by Landin Pigg. Rain giggled; a small sound like bells chiming. She glanced back over at the boy and decided. She scooted her chair back and gracefully glided to his table. With a small smile, she sat down across from him.
"Hi," she greeted him. "I'm Rain." she held out her small, pale hand for a handshake.

Asher was surprised to see that the girl that she was staring out before was sitting at his table. He took her hand and shook it, all the while saying, "Asher. Hi," a little nervously. He hadn't talked to anyone really since he was turned, and that was a few months ago. He just hoped he hadn't lost his manners in that short time period.
Sorry, I know short post.

Hush don't speak a word about the dreams that I live for It hurts to reach you when I'm down Don't speak again, I'm still waiting for my turn It hurts to reach you when I'm down
His hands were smooth and strangely warm. It sent an electric shock throughout her body. A smile touched her lips as she took in his appearance. He was beautiful. And apparently shy as well. He was a newborn, which confused Rain. Why was he out in the open so early? And how was he controlling his thirst so easily? She did a double take of the cafe. There were plenty of tasty smelling humans. The one in the back on his laptop was extremely appetizing, but he sat here timid as a lamb as if the humans don't bother him at all. Rain felt a sharp, white-hot pain in her throat and her nostrils flared.
"Nice to meet you, Asher," She returned her oceanic gaze to the fledgling. Her voice was like crisp, cool water. Her smile was an ocean view. Her air was misty and smelled of newly fallen rain. He smelled like night. It was difficult to explain, that's the only word she could think of.
"So, what brings you to town?"
Look through my eyes I have arrived, and now I'm on the rise Watch the tables, watch the tables as they turn This is a lesson I know you'll never learn I know you'll never learn...
There's something running through my blood, takes hold of me It's taking me to heights you'll never see Yeah I'm your wildest dream There's something disturbing your sleep Well now you'll see Nothing's ever what it seems to be, now I'm all that you bleed[/sup]

"Um, well. First I came her in search of food, because where I was...yeah...let's just say, there wasn't any after the first days I was turned," he said quietly. He wasn't sure about this girl. Yes, she was nice, beautiful, and confident, but he still wasn't sure how much he should tell her. Too bad, he was going to go for it. "So then I started traveling, and well, I made my way here. It looks good enough to stay here a while, don't you think?"
When he finished talking, Asher looked back up at Rain, only to see that she was still smiling a kind smile at him. Her smile was contagous, let's just say because before he knew it, she was smiling as well. With his half smile still in place, he asked, a little more loudly than before when he was explaining what brought him here, "How long have you been here?"

Rain nodded at his words. Most newborns, especially if turned by a irresponsible vampire, went on a killing spree within their first days. Thankfully, the makers of vampire law tend to turn a blind eye. Humans tend to think serial killer. "It's a perfect town. Gray and droll, perfect for us," Rain worded her response so she wouldn't give the humans any reason to suspect anything.
"I've been here for hundreds of years," she laughed a loud, her voice the sound of a waterfall. Smooth and beautiful. She's heard plenty of humans joke in this manner. Ironic, really. They didn't know that some they talked to were being truthfull.

"Really? That's a long time. I'm surprised you haven't picked up and left yet. I'm surprised you're not bored with Lamdon," Asher was babbling on, but he didn't care. For once in his life he was comfortable around someone, and that turned out to be someone hundreds years older than him.
Sorry, I know short post, I just don't know what to write right now. Again, sorry.
