((OOC: I am apologizing in advance for what's about to happen in this reply, because I refer to something that hasn't happened yet but is going to happen soon, but its happening at a later time than I believe this thread was supposed to be happening, but I think I can explain.
::ahem::
Mid October, in between the Dressage thread and the Zeroing In thread : Judas infects a werewolf with disease X
Late October, 27th - 29th : Night of Attack
October 30th : Bern witnesses the werewolf infected by Judas in mid-October killing another, which prompts him to visit Yorick at the Wolf's Tear. [This is the part that hasn't happened yet but is going to] After the two vampires talk, Bern calls up Dr. Sun, remembering what the man said about calling him up if he ever needed a favor. Dr. Sun agrees to come to Lamdon that instant, hops in his car, and starts driving, planning to go all day and all night until he arrives.
Also October 30th : Melody encounters Joelle, and the rest of it you know.
I'm sorry about referring to something that hasn't happened yet, but I'm so impatient; I didn't want to wait until Bitter Coffee was finished. If you let it slide this time I won't do it again. Unless I really can't wait to reply again. But I will try not to.))
+ ::"Ohhhhh, shit. Shit, bitch-fuck, cunt, damn," the steam of profanities continued as Joelle saw the injured dog creeping into the cave. The waterfall had prevented her from both seeing and hearing the fight. She had thought she heard a roar and a squeal above the roar of hundreds of gallons of water thundering past, but the albino hadn't been able to decipher their meaning. She instantly went over to comfort it, holding the hairy, hurt body in her arms. It didn't stay hairy, however. It began to shift, becoming softer and a different shape. Joelle jumped back, and watched until the transformation was complete and instead of a canine, a girl, a human girl, lay in pooling blood on the floor of the little cave. For the second time that day, the usually vocal teen had been shocked silent.
It had been the same creature that she had met last night, she was sure of it; there was no way it had been switched with an alien while the grizzly was striking and she was out of Jo's sight. That meant that she had been snuggling with the extra-terrestrial all night.
"But who am I to judge you?" said the pink-haired girl softly.
"You would have died for me, while I ran away. Alien, earthling, whatever, you're my friend, and I owe you big time."
Jo came back over to the collapsed heap. She was already naked, so there was no clothing to remove to get a better look at the injury. From just below the armpit to her pelvis was were the bear must have taken its swipe, because that was the area that was bleeding. After poking [gently], Joelle found it was deepest at the armpit, meaning the canine must have been charging it head-on when it happened. It was possible one of its claws had impaled a lung, but at least the slashes farther down didn't go past the layer of muscle, meaning the rest of her organs were fine. Examining the wound was kind of disgusting, but Joelle had done far grosser things in her relatively short life.
It was obvious this needed medical attention. Hoisting the body into her arms, as stereotypical grooms did with brides to carry them out to the "Just Married" car, so Joelle brought the girl's body to the edge of the cave. She couldn't help but notice that they looked to be similar ages. Jo removed her sweatshirt and used it to tie the body against her own, careful not to apply too much pressure to the wounded area. This wasn't enough though; she kept flopping around. Though already cold, the teen also removed her jeans and used these to splint the alien to herself as well. The cold wasn't so bad, especially because touching the ex-dog's body was like hugging a furnace.
The climb down was a bitch, but they both made it with minimal scrapes and bruises. The pink-haired albino then put her pants back on and made a sling of her sweatshirt to use as a seat to help take some of the weight off as she carried her friend piggy-back up the trail she had come down last night and onto the highway, where the trucker had dropped her off. Thankfully, she didn't have to wait long before a blue Toyota saw them and pulled over. The driver was an Asian man on the wrong side of forty who seemed only mildly surprised to see them. Joelle and the alien both climbed into the back seat.
"Can you take us to the nearest hospital?" she asked.
"Better yet," said the man, "I can fix her right here."
He got out of the car and opened the trunk, which contained a black doctor's bag that was almost as big as he was. It wasn't until he was up and moving that the teenager realized he was wearing a white lab coat and a stethoscope hung around his neck. They had been lucky.
"When did this happen?" he asked calmly while he prepared his needle and thread.
"Uh, more than a half an hour, but less than an hour ago?" she guessed. Joelle hadn't really been paying attention to the time; she was just moving as fast as she could.
"Hmm. I generally don't like to close anything up after an hour, because then what we're doing is sealing in the bacteria that has entered through the injury," he said while working, his voice casual. "But in your friend's case, I think we'll be alright. They do have a better immune system, after all."
Jo had no idea what he meant by that but nodded, watching his hands as he stitched. His movements were so swift and purposeful! It was a beautiful thing, almost like watching a dance. After the alien was sewn up, he applied a creme all over it, then gauze bandages.
"Did she have a change of clothes?" inquired the doctor. The girl shook her head.
"Where does she live?" he asked.
"I, I don't know..." stammered the femme. "I don't even know where we are."
Ah, so you're both on the run, said the Asian's eyes as he looked her over and nodded after standing puzzled for a short spell. Which was only half true. Or maybe it was all true. Joelle was so confused.
"Well, I have business I need to attend to in Lamdon. Either I can leave you two here or take you there with me."
"You can take us there. Drop us off at a church or something."
"I will do nothing of the sort. You two will stay with me until I can find suitable care for the werewolf. Even with their accelerated systems, she'll be out of action for at least a week or two. It's not like she's a vampire or anything," he chuckled, buckling himself in then pulling away from the roadside.
Joelle, even more confused then before, shut her mouth and also strapped in. She stayed close to her companion, hoping that she would regain consciousness soon and be able to answer some of the questions that were burning the tip of her white tongue. Until then, she and the doctor rode in silence.::

A violent wave of pain shot through Melody's small body and she twitched violently. All of a sudden she could feel warmth around her, not her normal hot warmth but a calm and soothing warmth. The girl that had been with her was looking down at her. Her face was expressionless, and then everything went black. She could feel the faint movment of her body but all was black and all she could feel now was extreme pain. Maybe her judgement was wrong but at least the bear didn't go for her friend... her friend. Could she really call her friend? She wouldn't blame her if she killed her while she was out cold. after all the poor thing had never seen somthing like her before... that she knew of. So maybe attacking a gear head on wasn't thr brightest idea... but atleast the girl was safe... She was only hman after all and her being a werewolf made more sense. It was only right that the bear attacked her instead, she could heal faster. A human might not even make it through this.

+ ::If you asked Joelle, this doctor-man was being far too calm about this. He drove, several mph above the speed-limit thankfully, with a relaxed expression and easy air about him. This had to mean the alien-dog was going to be fine, didn't it? Why would he be so confident otherwise?
"Will she be all right?" she asked from the backseat.
"Yes," Dr. Yao Sun replied, "after she's rested some. It might leave a bad scar though, as I didn't have access to the best of equipment, as you saw. I think it's safe to say she would rather be alive and slightly marred than just plain dead, don't you?"
Jo didn't answer. She still didn't like it, not one bit. It bothered her that he knew something she didn't. Since the funny-haired girl still wasn't awake, the albino had nothing to do but reflect on his words while she waited. She was almost certain that the Asian man had referred to Joelle's friend as a werewolf, but that couldn't be right. Werewolves didn't exist. Of course, that would explain why she had been in a canine form, as opposed to a horse or a skunk or a bear. Bear... The fae shivered. She hated bears; they could all go to Hell. It had been a bear that had done this.
No, you did this; you and your selfishness, Joelle reminded herself. But this thought made her feel guilty, which was not pleasant in the least, so the teen went back to blaming bears. Next time she went to the zoo she would be sure to slip some poison into the bears' cages to atone for their sin.
Back to the issue at hand, was this girl really a werewolf? Joelle had convinced herself that she had been a dog, but not even huskies had shanks or a muzzle as long and thin as hers had been. The legs, the pointed ears, that was all wolf and the pink-haired female had known in from the moment she first saw her, she just hadn't wanted to admit it.
There had just entered town. Dr. Sun was exhausted; he had been driving almost non-stop for thirty hours. Being a doctor and full aware of the consequences for pushing his body this far, he almost winced at the thought of what the next few days were going to be like. However, he understood that he would just have to put up with it, because it couldn't be helped. The pleading note in Bern Sigismund's voice for him to come as soon as he possibly could wouldn't have let him rest even if he had tried. Even if the vampire's request hadn't been urgent, the aging man probably still would have come quickly anyway, spurred on by his love of adventure. It was that same love that had forced him to stop and pick up the two females by the side of the road, though it would have been more convenient for him to just keep driving. One never knew what they were missing if they didn't do things such as that. Yao refused to have any regrets in his life, so he took every opportunity and then some.
It took about a half an hour for the doctor to find what he was looking for: an inn by the name of Wolf's Tear. Parking underneath some pine branches that hung over a parking space in the back corner, Dr. Sun rubbed his narrow eyes and unbuckled his safety belt, thinking he would have to walk farther now, but some shelter was better than none. If he weren't so tired he would be acting more careful.
"I'll be right back. Please wait here," he instructed before getting out.
So what, she was just supposed to wait here? The fae looked around nervously. There was one other vehicle in the 'lot, and it was all the way on the other side, but it made her feel restless nonetheless.
"Oh, please do wake up..." she whined at the naked, unconscious body in her arms. On top of her wanting her friend to be fine, she also had a million questions that were all but making her explode.::

The pain seemed so enternal... like it didn't want to end. This was much worse than anything she had ever done to herself. Well at least she was punished, she had punished herself. Her thoughts went on and on... they were about everything. Had she just commited suicide... was she like her brother? No! She could not think of that... it made her cry. Could she possibly be dead? What had happened to her friend!? She began to panic, the darkness waas unbearable now. She couldn't tell what was around her, just the dull feeling of a shaking under her. It felt kind of like being in a car? Was she in a car? Then it stopped. She looked around... but still darkness. She was getting angry "LET ME GO!!!" she screamed at it. As if magic had happened blinding light entered her vision, she coughed into her hand... small dotd of blood covered it. Unknowing of where she was she began to panic. Her cheast heaved and she took many large breaths. Her eyes were wild, looking around. She felt a numb warmth... just like the one before she passed out. She looked down at her body... no clothing but she was ontop of somthing... Someone! It was the pink haired girl again, her friend... her hero? She blinked in confusing, she had no idea what to say or even if she could talk for that matter. This was like a life for a life for a life for a life. She had saved her from stavation and vice versa, and they saved each others lives. "Are... we safe?" she looked around, so she was in a car afterall. She turned again and looked the girl in the eyes, she only had one thing to say "Melody Barlow" she gently picked up the girls hand and gave it a gental shake.

::It seemed like forever, but finally, the werewolf began to stir. Joelle knew that in reality less than fifteen minutes had passed since the doc left the car, so it certainly hadn't been forever or anywhere close to it, but being the horribly impatient person she was Joelle had been sure she would die waiting. Really, it was spectacular that the girl was awake period, let alone only a few hours after she had been attacked. Joelle, however, wasn't one to count her blessings. She was incredibly thankful though, that the alien-werewolf-girl had been allowed to survive.
"Yes yes," Jo ensured her quickly. "Don't worry. Are you feeling okay?"
The teenaged fae took the hand, frowning at how feeble it felt within her own. So her name was Melody Barlow. Joelle blushed as she recalled trying to think of a name for her, when she believed that she had been just a dog and nothing more. What else had she said that must have been demeaning and she would never say to a human being? The more she thought about it, the more her cheeks flushed, and it's hard to hide when you're blushing when your skin's as white and thin as the dusting of snow over the wind throws over already-once-swept sidewalks on winter nights.
"I'm Joelle. Uh, sorry about the whole trying to name you thing earlier. I kind of thought you were a dog."
She paused, then couldn't help but continue speaking:
"Are you a dog? Or a werewolf or a mutant or an alien? Was I just imagining you as a dog? You felt so real..."
Without much thought as to whether whatever this creature would mind or not Jo poked its' stomach, testing to see if it wasn't just a hallucination. There was, of course, pressure being applied to where she lay across her lap, but maybe that was being caused by a golf-bag she only thought was a humanoid body. The poke, however, had proved that it was indeed flesh and blood, or a very warm, very life-like robot.
Hmm, robot. I forgot to ask that one.
She opened her mouth to add that to the list, but what came out wasn't the question she was expecting:
"Why did you save me?"
Now why had she gone and asked a thing like that? It would have been better to just accept things the way they had turned out. But now that it was out, Joelle found that of everything she had inquired about, that was the one she wanted to hear the answer to most.::

Melody nodded slowly, continuing to look around, trying to identify her surroundings. "Where are we?" she inquired. "I feel a bit... dizzy" she whimpered in an angelic tone. ...Joelle, what a beautiful name. So she thaught that Melody was a dog. Well she didn't blame her, after all one would only assume. "Are you a dog? Or a werewolf or a mutant or an alien? Was I just imagining you as a dog? You felt so real..."Melody smiled sweetly and giggled softly. I am real" she paused. "Yes, werewolves exsist and I am one". Now Melody had no idea if there was a punishment for having a mortal know the truth or even what they would be. But as usual she would find a way out of it, Joelle was the one who asked in the first place. Melody watched Joelle's hand moved towards her with a finger extended which pushed softly on her stomach. IShe mad a rather strange noise as she did so. It was like a luaghed and a giggle and a grunt combined. She studied her position carfully, her own tiny body was spraled across Joelle's lap... still naked. She began to wonder if she minded at all. "Why did you save me?"Suddenly it felt like she was choaking and the words on which she was dieing to say could never be found again. "I...I... no one has even showed kindness towards me before, you were a first so I had to return the favor" she smiled weakly.

::Melody Barlow was a werewolf, if she wasn't lying. But why would she lie now, to Joelle? Technically, she hadn't lied before, only deceived, and that was probably because there was some kind of code she had to follow as a supernatural being. There must be, mustn't there? Otherwise wouldn't everyone know about the existence of werewolves? Maybe everybody already did, and Joelle had been left out of the loop as some kind of cruel, elaborate joke.
Her giggles were just too cute, and her eyes too honest. The albino felt herself becoming choked with emotion. Never mind the fact that she was naked and had just been operated on and they were in the back of a stranger's car in a town Jo had never heard of. Setting wasn't important in this scene; the characters were.
"I...I... no one has even showed kindness towards me before, you were a first so I had to return the favor" was the response to her last-second inquiry. It wasn't until the the tear had made it all the way down her cheek and had fallen onto a white hand, clenching her dirty jeans, and Jo realized she was crying. How had this doll gone about her whole life with no one showing her kindness? Yes, the fae realized that she had done the exact same thing, but it was different for her, she knew she was a bitch and didn't deserve it. Melody Barlow deserved all the love in the world. No, kindness. She said kindness, Joelle corrected herself. Why had she said love? Was it because she was feeling something toward this funny-haired girl who turned into a savage wolf when the moon was full? Was it a mutual respect, was it the kind of protective love an older sister might feel for the younger sister? This teen had been in all kinds of relationships in her life, and if you had asked her before today if she thought there could be another that she hadn't yet felt, she would have straight-away told you no. Now Jo wasn't so sure. Her heart-strings were tugging, that was for sure, but what did that mean? What kind of love was she spiraling into? Since the fae had no words to give back, she instead touched a pale pink lock of the werewolf in her lap's hair, running down the length of it and tucking it behind one of her perfect little ears. There was a smile on her face, one that came out of a face that had known more suffering than joy and so savored the sweet taste of happiness all the more. She then touched the wound, the stitches so dark and foreboding in contrast to her soft, pallid flesh. She wondered if it would scar, if Melody would always bear the mark of the price she had paid for Jo's worthless life. Jo had run away... Ashamedly, the runaway turned her eyes and looked out the window of the car, tonguing her lip ring from inside her mouth, as the teen was inclined to do when she was mildly upset. A wind was shaking the boughs of the pine violently, enough that a few were scraping the hood of the car they were in. It looked rather like every other parking lot Joelle had ever been in. In her travels she had discovered that only the name changed when one visited towns; everything else stayed painfully the same. She wondered if Melody had a town, had a home, had somebody who would be worried as hell that she hadn't returned the previous evening. She said she had never known kindness, but she was probably just being emo. Of course she had a home, someone to go back to. Just about everyone did. Jo had been in the wrong to group her into the homeless category with herself. More than likely it had just been teenage angst...but how often did teenage angst involve throwing yourself up against a fucking grizzly bear for the sake of a stranger? Joelle could only hope... "The doctor who fixed you up should be back soon. He has a cell phone; you can call whoever you have and let them know you're alright," Jo informed her, doing a good job masking the sadness she felt in saying the words.::

Melody looked down at herself, a rather large row of stiches was covering her side. A flicker of pain from the bears memory entered her mind. She studied Joelle, her hair was pink, Melody's hair was pink too, it just had blonde and black mixed in. As well as tatoo's and pericing outlining her tiny, doll-like body. Joelle's skin looked so fragile, also similar to her own but since Joelle was human it screamed a warning to be gentle. Melody traced her face and studied her lip, she had a pericing in it just like she did, She tehn began to wonder if they would get stuck together if they were to kiss. Melody shook that though away. Her friend couldn't be anything like her, there was no way. Besides how would it look if she started coming on to her in someone else's car right after she had been saved by them. Bi-coloured orbss followed the fea's pale hand as it moved towards her face. The dull human warmth traced along her hair and pulled behind her ear. She giggled again, the sensation of a human touch tickled her. "The doctor who fixed you up should be back soon. He has a cell phone; you can call whoever you have and let them know you're alright,"A huge shock of fear surged through her small body. She had forgotten all about Zetsumei. If she knew that Melody was with a human girl she would kill them both. She couldn't belive that she had ever felt some sort of compassion towards that cold hearted bitch. But thata why, she was the way that Melody could never be. "There is no one... I have no one" she looked back at Joelle. "Why did you go into the forest alone? Don't you have someone?". Surley she must have a boyfriend or family, she was quite good looking.

((OOC: I'm sorryyyy, I really don't mean to God-mode and mess with the flow of time this much, but I don't know if I can wait until all the way after Yorick and Bern have had their meeting with the Royal Flush Coven and then had their debriefing/brainstorming session with Dr. Sun, so I'm pretended like those have already happened so that we can continue here.)) + + ::For a moment, the already pale bodice of the werewolf girl seemed to blanch even further, but perhaps that was only the trick of the light, as a cloud passed over the weak sunlight or something of that sort.
And like you're one to talk about being pale, a little voice ridiculed. That was true. There was a vast difference between being white-white and being albino-white.
Was it awful that her tense heart eased up to hear the girl say that she had no one? Selfish Joelle wanted Melody for herself; she liked being that single person who cared. That put a certain desperation into their relationship, a sensation that Jo got a rush from. No, it probably wasn't healthy, but to hell with it. All they needed was each other, and they could take the world on no problem.
"I didn't have a reason for going into the forest alone. It's just kind of where I ended up." Pause. "I don't have anyone either..." and I really never have, the unspoken second half hung heavy in the air of the car, which, by the way, was a ridiculous place to be having this serious of a conversation. This talk seemed heavy enough to warrant a kitchen, maybe a balcony at dusk; certainly above the back of a compact car, a Toyota no less. But maybe Jo had just seen too many movies.
Had anyone ever loved, really loved, Joelle Frey? It seemed natural that her mother would love her baby, but 1.) the fae wasn't a baby any longer and 2.) it wasn't fair to make assumptions. Had her father? She couldn't really speak for him either. Any of the countless different men and women she had lusted with? Perhaps they remembered her, thought of her once in awhile if not only because she had been some of their firsts, but no, none of them had ever cared enough to continue the relationship beyond calling the next time their dick was hard and they needed a body they knew they could count on.
Though, in the world's defense, had Jo ever really loved any of them? She rubbed her temples with thin fingers, feeling with disgust just how greasy her hair was. Well, that's what being on the road did to you. None of the high school bitches here could stand even a day without conditioning their air with their fancy French products. Being a runaway meant you put up with things like that, like feeling like shit because you smell like shit. While it sucked, it made cleaning up always feel that much nicer. That's what Joelle could use right now: a hot bath.
They were at some kind of motel-type-deal, were they not? Maybe she could get a room, with all the non-existent money she possessed. If she was staying anywhere it would be with someone, in a place they already owned and she would never have a piece of.
"So," Jo was about to ask the girl where she thought she would be going now when the Asian doctor came back in sight.
"Here comes the doc. He'll know the game plan."::
What Dr. Sun and the two gentlemen had decided would stay between the three of them; it didn't concern these two girls in the least. Yao opened the driver seat door, sat down, and looked at the two in the backseat from his rear-view mirror.
"Well, how's the patient?" asked he with a smile after seeing that she was up and awake. The aging man then put the blue vehicle into gear and slowly pulled up to the front of the Inn, where a finely dressed, dark-haired man was waiting.
Bern opened the back door and lifted Melody out.
"I'm sorry," he said to her, "I know you probably could walk, but I have doctor's orders to carry you straight to your room." Bern was quite embarrassed by the fact that she was naked. Dr. Sun had forgotten that part when he had asked the favor of the vampire. Though he wasn't sure it would matter or not, he held his breath the whole way so that any werewolf-infecting pathogens that he was hosting in his lungs could not enter this female with her weakened immune system. He prayed that she wouldn't all of a sudden flip out and start attacking him against her will.
The room wasn't far away at all; Yao had selected one the perfect distance from the door. The Jew laid the nude doll on one of the beds, the one with some girls clothes folded in a neat pile on top of the comforter, then left, as his job was done.
Dr. Sun had been following behind the young vampire with the albino girl in tow.
"I'd like you to rest here for at least the rest of today, my dear," said the doctor to the werewolf.
"I'll be back later on to do a check-up."
As he exited the room, the Asian asked Joelle to also remain to keep an eye on her.
"Let us know if anything unusual occurs," he said softly, placing a slip of paper with a cell phone number into her hand.
Joelle could only nod, believing she understood her task. She then made room for the doctor to leave, and sat down in an armchair in the corner of the room, wondering what Melody was making of all these changes.::

Melody nodded, understanding fully the pause her human friend had made. She began to think about what kind of thoughts her human was beggining to have about the supernatural. What kind of danger could she be in now? Juat then a man came out, most likely the doctor... but he was followed by a pale male. Vampire. Melody had nothing against vampires but instinct kicked in as he approched her human. To her surprise he lifted her up and carried her off. Panic kicked in and she turned nervously to see if Joelle was still behind her. Her lips parted and a low growl escaped. She frowed and looked up at the vampire "Sorry" she mumbled. Melody was slighty relived that she was going inside where no one could she her unclothed body. She sighed at the softness of the bed she was just sat upon. Her eyes follwed the vampire nervously as he left the room. She had high hopes that he wasn't going to try and drain Joelle's blood, but part of her was unsure. With a thud her head hit the pillow and she sighed, it was soooo much better that the car. Her different coloured eyes darted around to room, noticing a neat pile of clothing at the edge of the bed she crept forward. She touched them cautiously and picked them up. She pulled the shirt widley around until it was unfolded and she could inspect it. After carefully pulling the clothing onto her body she noted that it was much bigger than she was and it was falling off of her body. Taking the edges of the shirt she pulled them together and tied a rather large knot and grinned. "Thats better". She almost tripped on her way over to Joellw, who was now sitting in the chair at the edge of the room. She approched her nervously and stood up straight "you must be tired, why don't you sleep in the bed?" she smiled sweetly. Trying to persuade her to sleep. She must be tired, a human body would be in pain after trying to sleep in a rocky cave.

::She had been looking at the nude, doll-like body for quite some time now, and it wasn't like Joelle hadn't seen her share of naked people before, but when Melody began to dress, pink-haired Jo instinctively diverted her gaze, choosing to study the large, gold floral wallpaper of the room. How silly these little things that had been ingrained into her and every human since childhood were, but even as she thought about how she should look back, she left her dark blue eyes on the room. It was actually pretty stylish. This particular space had been done in mostly golds and maroons, with a certain boldness in the combinations and patterns that left Joelle feeling empowered and warm. Just the right amount of art was hanging on the walls; not so much that one felt cluttered or overwhelmed, but enough that nothing looked bare. A few throw pillows had been artfully placed on the pinstriped sofa against the back wall, and the same dark red squares could also be found on the delicious-looking beds. Everything had a nice, old-fashioned feel to it. Whoever had designed this room knew his stuff, that was for sure.
The little werewolf was finished dressing by this time. She looked so adorable, reminding Joelle of a child who had gotten into mommy's clothes and was now parading about in the garments she was far too small for. Still smiling, and almost hesitant to do so in case it ruined the cute effect, the fae reached under the leg of her jeans and began removing a few of her emergency safety pins. The shirt would stay up because of the clever knot Melody had tied, and while pants could just be folded over to make them the right length, it was a difficult business modifying ones that didn't fit in the waist. Such a tiny waist Melody possessed she probably could have worn one leg as a skirt, though that would have been far from practical.
"Here," she offered, "see if these help any."
As soon as her friend suggested she should go sleep on the bed, it hit Joelle how stiff and sore and plain old tired she was. A lot had happened, both physically and mentally, in this past day and a half, not to mention all the hard traveling she had been doing before she and the she-wolf crossed paths. It had been at least a month, maybe even two, since the albino had slept in a real bed. She couldn't wait to get into clean before, but now a bed sounded like a much better idea than a bath.
"Are you sure? Is there anything I could get you first?" but even as she was asking, the teenager had made her way over to the far bed, the one that hadn't had clothes on it, and sat down on the edge. Her butt sank down at least three inches into the heavenly fluff of the mattress. She wanted to tip over, to fall into the pillows and bury her face and sleep for a week, but would wait to see if the funny-haired femme needed anything, in case she needed to force herself to rise. While it would be hard enough sitting up like this, if she allowed herself to lie down. not even having a gun to her head would be able to force the female to rise.::

Melody began humming quietly to herself, that is until she noticed Joelle's arm extended towards her with somthing shiney in it. She lept foward, inspecting the shiney objects, only to discover that Joelle was simply genius. Two safety pins... just perfect to hold up her pants. Melody took them gently from her and pulled the waist of her pants out and pinning the front of them together. A short, loud giggle escaped her mouth. Simply because of the way the pants were pinned at the front made her look like she had a boner. "I'm fine" she responded, smiling. She gripped the bottom of the pant legs and ripped them as gently as she could up the seem until they were about at her calf and then ripped the end off. She repeated this step on the second pant leg and pinned the other side of the pant boner to stop herself from laughing. She threw the ripped parts of the pant legs by the door and inspected her new fashion statment. She was about to make a comment when she noticed Joelle was just about passed out on one of the beds. Abandoning her human thoughts she felt more wolfish, her sudden curiosity levels spiked. A sudden image entered her head... but it was not hers... it was Zetsumei and a guy... doing...it. DIONE!!!! That bitch, WHY!?! Her mind burned with the mental image. Happy Birthday Huney, what kind of sick joke was this. "BLAHH!!!!" she screamed, attempting to scratch out her eyes. "Stupid.. uhhgg.... gross, Dione I'm going to kill you!" she screamed. Then she paused suddenly, eyes driffting ever so slowly in Joelle's direction... oops.

::The sudden outburst from Melody was enough to more than make Jo's heavy eyelids flutter and draw her attention over to the female, who had continued to alter that clothes she had been provided with. She jumped up and cried out, spooked, thinking that there was someone else in the room. Adreneline could make the most tired person on earth not only run a marathon, but set the record for new fastest time. I hope he didn't want those back... thought Joelle briefly before returning her attention to her werewolf friend and where the intruder might be.
After a moment of breathing hard and turning around in a few circles to make sure that nothing had materialized behind her, Joelle was satisfied that there was no one in the room with them. What, then, had caused Melody to act in such a way? Was she halucinating? Was she crazy? Or did her werewolf senses pick up something in the room that the albino's human ones could not? She didn't quite understand how the differences between their two species worked yet.
"Melody, are you okay? What happened?" the pink-haired human inquired of the pink-haired werewolf.::

Melody hissed outloud, her eyes burned with the mental image. Her chest heaved up and down, she was angry and completly taken by surprise. This was not a good combination considering she was a werewolf. She could feel the change starting to come. She let out a soft wimper, she had just ajusted the clothing perfectly now was not the time to destroy it. Her teeth clenched together "fine" she lied completely openly. As if anyone would buy that, not after the way she had started freaking out. Melody gribbed the edge of the bed and took deep breaths trying to calm herself. She had to keep herself composed for Joelle's sake. Then she remebered, she looked up at her, her pink hair and pale skin seemed to calm her down a little. But she needed a distraction. She though back to when she first saw Joelle, how beautifuly peaceful that moment was. She seemed to understand her, even though she was in the body of a wolf. At last she could feel herself starting to calm down, but somthing still remianed, threating her clothing and her body from healing. IF she were to change and rip the wound open again she could bleed to death. She looked up at Joelle, her eyes drifting slowly towards her lips. What a cruel thing self preservation was, but if Melody didn't try to keep herself from changing she would never see Joelle again. Without thinking she left forward and pressed her lips gently against Joelle's. the pain rushed away instantly and the burning stopped. she pulled away, horrified at what she had just done, yet oddly pleased at the same time. "I am so sorry!" she whined and jumped onto the bed, gripping the pilow and holding it over her head.

::The kiss was totally unexpected. Joelle's dark blue lamps opened wide in surprise as she felt an electric warmth spread it's tingle from her lips down into the rest of her body, so that even her fingertips felt the tremor. The teen also felt her body temperature increase and her white-white burst into bright pink flame almost the same hue as her hair and equally obnoxious. She was kind of hurt by Melody's reaction; she hated it when people apologized after kissing her, after having sex with her, after using her. What about her feelings? How was she supposed to feel knowing that what they had just shared must have been something bad, because people don't regret good things?
"It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you," said the fae, upset that Melody was defending herself, as if Jo would try and strike her. She understood that it must just be a reaction from a previous abusive relationship. That also probably explained why she had apologized immediately after kissing her, too. Maybe she thought she was being out of line, and doing that was punishable by a smack upside the head. Jo crawled onto the bed with the werewolf and grabbed a hold of the pillow.
"I'm not going to hurt you," she repeated softly while pulling it away and setting it on the floor next to them. Joelle looked into Melody Barlow's eyes; really looked. One color was filled with hurt, the other with fear, and both loaded with so much sadness. Not in the blue nor the pink could Joelle find even a trace of love, and it broke her heart because Jo knew these eyes; these were the same sad spheres that stared her down every time she looked into a mirror, meaning she understood exactly how much pain Melody experienced, how it could pretend to disappear for awhile and come back like a dozen knives when you tried to fall asleep that night, how it burned and ached and cut you and tore you but wouldn't ever kill you. This girl did not deserve this pain.
"I love you," the albino said, and though she had only known the werewolf a day she meant it with everything she was.
"And though I'm far from perfect and will probably fuck up, I'm going to try my damnedest to keep you from hurting again."
