Melody watched Jo, she didn't seem baffled or anything. All the possible questions that she could ask right now but it didn't feel right. Somehow it seemed the truth was all that Jo was speaking... somehow Melody understood. Hoe could a human love a werewolf? How could she love me period? No one loves me... Melody was frantic in her thoughts, all these things she could be thinking but wasn't. She was frozen. Then it all seemed to pass, like a giant emotional cloud had lifted. Her eyes drifted back up to Joelle's. She studided them, like they were filled with sorrow and detirmitation. Hey eyes. Melody seemed lost in them, they were so... beautiful. They were the palest of grey. Melody shook her head and looked at Joelle, she was sitting on the bed now. "And though I'm far from perfect and will probably fuck up, I'm going to try my damnedest to keep you from hurting again." Melody's ears perked "not through my eyes" a faint smile crossed her lips. she knew that would have been better kept secret, like a cheesy pick-up line. "Then I to promise that I will keep from hurting you, and keep anyone from hurting you" of course she ment physically. No one would hurt Joelle while she was around. Melody felt heat slowly begin to pass over her pale face, like she was slowly turning pink... almost enough to match Jo's hair. "Joelle..." she emo werewolf began. "Would you like to come to my school for the halloween dance". She leaned forward and looked into her eyes.

::Even though she hadn't been expecting the werewolf girl to say anything in response, it was nice to hear that she had her back covered. Jo had been in several different types of relationships before, but this supernatural one definitely topped them all. Briefly the teenager thought of how interesting her memoirs would be, were she ever to have the patience to sit down and write them. Of course, though Melody hadn't specifically said so, and neither had the old doc, Joelle assumed that this was the kind of thing to keep a secret. If it wasn't, why hadn't she heard about the existence of such beings before now? No, she would have to leave that part out unless she wanted to sell it as a fantasy novel.
When the emo girl asked if Joelle would come to her school dance, the runaway laughed. She had completely forgotten about the existence of school until this moment.
"I haven't been to a high school in over a year," she offered Melody as a means of explanation for her laughter, "but I guess it's never too late to go back."
Of course she planned on going; the way the doll had looked up at her and batted those bi-colored eyes had been far too cute for Jo to say no. More than that, she hadn't been to a social gathering in awhile, and she missed it. As much as she hated parties, Jo loved them, loved the way she could lose herself in the sea of people; my body your body her body it didn't matter, you were all moving at the same time to the same song, like some kind of single organism. She loved that feeling.

Melody had been so into all of this she had lost track of time. She looked around the room "oh... what time is it..." she mumbled. "Well its on Halloween" she grinned. She slowly started back tracking through days. Then she paused for a moment "oh shit... its tonight".Her hands went through her hair and she growled in fustration. "I don't even know what to go as". She toushed her hand and then smelt it. She could use a shower to. All this time had passed and she had totally forgotten about showering and such a like. She scanned the room again in hopes of a shower. "I'll be back" she stumbled off the bed and slipped into the bathroom. Bingo. There was a small shower but it would have to do. She took off her modified clothing. "Yay" she tried to sound thrilled from inside the bathroom for Joelle's sake. She turned on the water and stepped in. She should be happy considering that Jo had said yes to her, but she knew if she was to try and keep up a relationship with a human she would have to work really hard. She worked some shampoo into her hair. A faint smile appered on her lips.

::Tonight? Jo considered herself a spur-of-the-moment kind of gal, but even that seemed a little rushed for her. After all, this wasn't something they could just show up at; they needed to have costumes for a Halloween party, and costumes take time to prepare. Time, and money, which the albino had just about none of. She would just steal it, but generally Halloween outfits were too large to slip into her purse or up her shirt. That, and she had no idea what she could go as. The fae opened her mouth to explain to Melody that she was sorry, maybe the next one, but before she could speak a word the werewolf had already sprung up and hopped into the shower. Joelle could hear how excited she was from the other side of the door, and knew that she couldn't back down now.
Well shit. What were they going to use for their outfits? Jo checked the closet, but it was empty, as was the dresser. Quietly, the pink-haired girl opened the door to the gold and maroon room and took a peek out into the hallway. There was no one about. Jo tried the door to the left of her and Melody's room, but it was locked. So was the one next to it. They all seemed to be locked except for the way they had come in, the one that led to the lobby. Joelle went through it. Nobody was behind the desk, but all the rows with keys to the rooms were. Without thinking twice about it, she leaned over and grabbed all that were there and brought them into her hallway. Jo then began to try them out.
The first room was done in greens. The drapes lying across the window were the first thing that caught Joelle's eye because they were gorgeous. Translucent and flowing all the way down to the carpet, it seemed almost like a waterfall frozen in time.
Hmm, maybe we can use this... thought Jo, sizing them up. She pushed the table over near the curtains, climbed up on it, and took them down. There was a vase of flowers on the table she had stood on that she decided to grab. Joelle then took her findings back to her own room, then went and replaced the keys. While doing so, the dropout spotted a Sharpie marker, which she snatched up and also took back to the room. Once there, Joelle placed the long strip of fabric against her body different ways until she seemed satisfied, then whipped out her knife and began to cut. It was going to suck, but everyone knows that having a shitty costume is a thousand times better than having no costume at all.::

The black and pink of Melody's hair was now white with shampoo. The scent was somewhat fruity... but nice. It smelt like apples. Melody let out a delighted pur, she loved the smell of apples. After rinsing out her hair she cleaned the rest of her tatooed and pierced body. While she enjoyed the warmth of the water she though about costume ideas. She had no money with her but she could always run back to go see Zetsumei and Dione to get some. Yes thats what she would do... if she didn't kill dione first. Carefully Melody stepped out of the shower and turned off the water. She grabbed a towel and wrappped it around herself. The next towel she used to dry her hair. Which she did by rapidly rubbing the towel into it. Now that her hair was a shaggy mess she but her modified clothing on and bounded out of the bathroom. And there was Joelle sitting with torn bits of material and such. A large grin spread across Melody's face, she looked so cute into her work like that. "You know I do have ways of getting costumes" she grinned. She was a werewolf... she could get costumes. Personally she wanted to go as a vampire, it just seemed fitting.

::The plan was not going well at all. Joelle was so frustrated she was ready to find some matches and set the whole mess on fire when Melody showed up. After declared that she knew where they could get some costumes, Jo teetered on the edge of being furious because she hadn't said something about it earlier and caused her to go to all this trouble or thankful that she could abandon this wreck. Thankfully, she went with the later, scooping all the bits and pieces of the gorgeous drapes up and shoving them under the bed. Joelle rubbed her light gray eyes and stretched. She was still kind of stiff and sleepy from her travels. A hot shower couldn't help her with being tired, but it could soothe the knots in her back. It also wouldn't do her filthy skin and greasy hair any harm.
"Right. Well I'm gonna hop in real quick. You better have left some hot water," she added with a smile, making her way toward the bathroom. She wished she had something other than her stinky jeans and tank top to change into, but the room had only had one set of clothes, which obviously needed to go to the naked one. Though the pounding artificial rain felt so nice and it was so tempting to just stand and let it fall over her for hours, Joelle made herself wash and exit in twenty minutes. Her roots were showing, and her fingernails needed attention, but other than that Jo had cleaned up nice.
"Where are we getting these costumes? And are you sure you're up for this? You did almost die just this morning," the fae reminded her.::

Melody spread herself out across the free bed and looked up at the cealing. Her eyelids began to slowly close while she listened to the sounds of running water from Joelle's shower. Her face turned slightly pink. She shocked back to life when the watter turned off and sat up. She had almost completley forgotten about all that had happened and why she was even there. She gently pulled off her top and inspected her wound. the scar started at her neck and went right across her chest. Melody hurried and pulled her top back over her head as Jo enetered the room. Melody gave a cheeky smile "I'll be fine its you I'm worried about, your only human and could use some rest". The little emo werewolf pulled her legs up onto the bed and crossed them. "Well I belong to a pack... I suppose one of them wouldn't mind helping out, shes quite found of parties" she paused. She stuck out her tounge "and I'd just love to see the look on the vampires face when a werewolf goes as one". She wrinkled her nose and then covered her mouth. Joelle knew about werewolves and now knew vampires exsisted aswell but she didn't need to know they'd be there. She had never though about that. What if there was a hungry vampire there... or what if they didn't like Joelle knowing about their secret... would they try and kill her? Melody shook, the only way to stop this was to seek Dione... she shouldn't have a problem with a human. "First off we need to escape this place" she bounded off the bed and grabbed the sharpie that Jo had been using on the curtain-like disaster. She proceeded to whip around the room in search of paper, when she found none she went back to the rejected curtain and scribbled stuff on it. It was sort of like a cheap escape plan and map combined. On it she drew the room and then the forest where she would hopfully find Dione.

::"Pfft. Me? I'll be fine; all I need is an energy drink or something, until I can get some adrenaline at the dance," responded Jo to the wolfess's concerns. The human found it quite interesting that Melody belonged to a pack. Wasn't a wolf's pack the equivalent of its family? But she had said in the car that she didn't have anyone! Joelle rubbed her elbow, feeling slightly cold. It usually didn't bother her this much when someone lied to her, but she usually didn't believe people entirely either. How foolish of her, to immediately trust like that. She was diving into this friendship too deep, too fast. She needed to back off a little and make sure she knew what she was getting herself into.
"So what's that?" asked the albino, gesturing toward the lines scribbled onto scraps of the once-beautiful drapes. Was this somehow going to help them find this pack member of whom Melody spoke? It seemed unlikely; Joelle couldn't see how they could help anyone do anything at all.::

Melody's expression dropped "its a map" she whined in a hushed tone. She scanned the room, taking in every detail, watching every movment. Then she moved her way over to the door and pressed her ear against it. She could hear voices outside but they were just walking past. When everything was quiet again she pushed the door open a little and peeked out. "Coast is clear" she giggled, she liked where this was going, she felt like she was in a Mission Impossible movie. The theme started to play in her head. She turned and looked to Jo, she looked, somewhat hurt, in a way. Melody rewinded their conversation and tried to remeber what she had just said but the Mission Impossible music was drowning them out. She slid her foot throught the door and pushed it before running to the other side of the hallway... yes this is where the great escape would go down... now.

::Like a shadow or a tail, Joelle followed Melody Barlow. Each passing second helped a scab form over the wound on her heart, however, and before long Joelle was fighting not to giggle as she thought of how upset the doc would be if he knew his patient wasn't resting in her room, where he believed her to be.
"You know where we're going, right?" she whispered oh-so-quietly into the werewolf's ear, cupping both hands over it to make sure none of the noise escaped, where it could be picked up by someone else. The albino was completely at Melody's mercy in this strange town she had never before visited. Since she didn't know the streets, she couldn't take the lead, and was forced to allow herself to be led, like a stupid sheep who couldn't get along without a shepherd.::

"I think so" the she-wolf giggled. Grabbing Joelle's hand lightly and running forwards out the door she whispered "I hope so." Pulling Joelle close behind her Melody ran out the front door. With a quiet wince she pulled Joelle onto her back and held her. Almost like a piggy back but with a super strong werewolf and delicate human. Melody took off at full speed in search of the forest. Which of course wouldn't take long to find. She looking up and smiled "hold on very tight." of course she thought about what this might look like, a tiny girl giving a taller girl a piggy back while running at full speed, but there were no humans out. The scent of leaves and mud led Mel to a quick turn and jump over a small river into the cover of tree's. Now is where the real fun kicked in. She had to try and locate Dione somehow, she figured the meadow was a good place to go and there is where she ran. She loved to run, and the dull warmth of Joelle's human body was almost a nothingness now. she began to wonder how she felt to a human. "If I get to hot just tell me and I'll put you down" she smiled. In the human world that might come off as a pick up line.

::When Melody first placed Joelle onto her back, the fae had no idea what on earth she thought she was doing. She was injured and smaller; if anybody was going to be carrying anybody it should be the other way around. Jo hadn't realized that part of being a werewolf meant that you were stronger than a human, and that the pink-haired she-wolf could bear her weight relatively easily. Closing her pale eyes tight, she held on and just went with the flow.
It was amazing how warm Melody felt. With Joelle's legs spread, pressed up against her back...well she was a sexual creature, and so her body reacted to certain things in certain ways. Even though it was getting to be a little too warm, the sweat that was running down between her breasts and desire to strip off her clothes only increased the primal urges flashing through her brain.
Save it for tonight, a more logical part of her mind told her.
Show her how you're feeling on the dance floor.
So Joelle bit her pierced lip and tried to clear out her mind's eye by focusing on how cool it was to have the wind rushing through her wildly-dyed hair at the speed they were going at. It was no where near as fast as a vampire could run, but everything's relative, and Jo had never mounted a vampy before. It wasn't long before her thoughts turned back to sex again.
"Are we almost there?" she asked.::

A grin spread over Melody's face and she picked up speed again. There was somthing about speed that related to freedon in her mind and she loved it. She sniffed the air, its was starting to smell firmilar. "Close" she grinned. Yes, they must be getting close, either that of her sense of smell was getting better. she couldn't wait to dress up, she definatly like a small child. Melody loved to dress up, especially if it ment pissing off a few vampire's. She cackled at the thought of their expression's when they saw a loathed werewolf dressed up as one of them. The dance was going to be so fun, even more noe that Joelle was coming. Jumping over a small fallen tree she found herself in a snowy meadow. He wasn't worried about any heat loss from Joelle, after all she was a living heater. Rather than setting Joelle down in the snow Melody paced in a circle melting the snow. Once there was a little patch of grass she set her down. "Dione? are you there Dione? If you come and get me I promise not to kill you." She spoke to her fellow pack member. "She should be here soon" Melody grinned.

::They were beside a very beautiful part of the forest. There were some trees still dressed in their brilliant autumn colors, but most of them, the sluttier ones, were showing off their naked brown branches. Joelle, however, was not a country mouse, but a city mouse, and saw no beauty in the wonder all around her. She pulled her knees up to her chest, regaining composure after being shaken up by the trip, both figuretive and literally. She wasn't cold, not yet anyway. Her skin felt frosty, but what lay underneath was hot enough that it didn't bother her.
"How do you know that?" asked Joelle, wrinkling her nose.
"We didn't see anybody on the way here, and I don't see anyone around us now."
Silly Joelle, with her closed mind. She couldn't imagine that there was anything she didn't know about, and though she didn't know it, still thought of Melody has a human who had human abilities and couldn't do anything a human couldn't. Though she had verbally accepted Melody Barlow's werewolfness, her mind was far away from being able to comprehend.::

Unfortunately, Melody had caught Dione at a bit of a bad time. She was human and clothed, yes, but most shabbily in her opinion. Her hair was loose and quite tousled, and she wore only an oversized grey sweater, and a teeny pair of black shorts, which was all she had grabbed when she had popped over to Zetsu's late the night before. Not exactly at the top of her game, especially with the dark circles under her eyes, and lack of makeup. Luckily the scars from the fight the previous evening had healed with werewolf speed, otherwise she'd have looked like a real mess. She was catching up on her sleep in the meadow when Melody happened to appear with Joelle, which was lucky, for it meant that Dione didn't have to worry about walking very far to reach them.
The intrusion into her mind was enough of a wake-up call to cause the female to leap into the air, and glance around in a comical manner for the culprit. Although the wounds had healed, she still had bloodstains around her mouth and hands. In bare feet, she walked over to Melody and her strange friend in a sort of sleepy daze. "What time is it?" she yawned, a few bits of flowers and grass tumbling off of her; many more pieces of vegetation remained stuck to her clothes and hair. "What do you want?" she asked, waking up to the situation. Why was Melody here with a strange human girl, and why had they insisted on waking her up? If she had any enery, they would be feeling her wrath right now.
